Default Amiko Alien 2 HD VS Amiko Alien 8900

    Hi

I was using Technomate 600 for 3 years and now is dead . I had some search for new satellite receiver with linux and cccam facility and find Amiko is a good option

few Q , please help me to find the right item

1- what is difference between Amiko Alien 2 HD & Amiko Alien 8900

2- what is dual or triple tuner

3- can I use Cccam and enigma in these machine ?

and which one you recommend or if you know better model of Amiko please let me know .

I checked the mail website of this receiver but has poor information about compair of their product .

    Thanks you guys

    The difference is : 8900 = single tuner , Alien 2 = twin/triple tuner (2x sat tuners + DVB-T )
You cant use native CCcam , but you can use OScam to connect to CCcam servers and share through the CCcam protocol ) = NO need for CCcam on these boxes .
Recommatttion depend on what you want . If you like to record anothere sat or transpoder its Alien 2 . For simple normal usage 8900 is you choise .
Booth recievers are dual boot recievers = you can choose to use a Enigma2 image on it in the secodary boot..
I did it my way !!

Do you mean I can use my Clines which I was using in Technomate in Amiko ?

IF yes I will but 8900 as I don't need Sat tuners and DVB-T
