tried this on my s9 it works well as a reciever if you load a channel database after you load the firmware but most functions are greyed out the only things you can do with this firm on s9 is watch whatever sat you happen to be pointing at when you load it ,upgrade by usb and turn on your network no other settings work not even factory default no clines no media player but softcam seems to work .Either the s11 remote is completely different from the s9 which i doubt or the firmware makers have made it this way very dissapointing ,maybe it works with s10

Those are the same symptoms I got with hibox f2 firmware loaded on my s10.Makes me wonder now if the firmware was looking for a certain code in the security chip and when not found went restrictive.

I have it also in my S9, very sad that they make it like this.
I thought that it maybe I could flash the s9 serial incl. bootloader, maybe that would enable the menu? Not sure if I can get back to S9 firmware though..

@slugworth how did you flash the other firmware? do you need the loader of the "other" firmware to get back to original?

The description is not very accurate anyway, since Dutch language is not supported or in the firmware, shows up in the description every time.

to recover I had to use the usual rs232 loader.
the hibox f2 situation is even worse, since everything was in chinese.
Actually s9 owners should try the hibox f2 firmware for the heck of it,to see how it reacts.

I was also able to recover via lan manager, but the weird part is when I went to transfer the image.abs the receiver would burp and reboot, leaving the old firmware still on.I had to actually transfer my tp_prog.dbs file first, then I was able to transfer the image.abs to receiver successfully.

not sure if your talking about experimenting with something else but if you just want to get back to s9 firm upgrade by usb still works all i did was flash my backup s9 firm over the s11 firm then did a factory default to get rid of all the crap hopefully then flashed it again with my s9 backup and its working fine
