humax hdci2000 update

does the humax hdci2000 have to be conected to sat dish to update firmware or channel lists as i have only got desktop pc.

You can do it through your PC using a Null Modem cable and the correct software.

Hello,

so i can put a nulmodem cable between my notebook and the humax.
After that i start the right sotfware "WinOak4.0" or "Formula_HDCI-2000_EU" and look at the newest Firmware "HDXSCI10008_all_2nd.hdf" and then?

From here on i don't know what to do, so from here i need help or some explanation on how.
