As far as I am aware, one can only use the record / playback facility by incorperating a 2.5 Hard Drive into the fixed bay, which is located inside the receiver, just make sure the drive is an IDE type, and not a SATA type.

how do you toggle between terrestrial and satellite channels
Once you have done a scan of the terestrial channels, they become intergrated within the satellite list, you can of course re-order the channels, to suite your requirements.
I personally do not use the receiver for accessing terestrial channels, as they are already built into my TV, so I find it rather pointless.

Any 2.5 Hard Drive should function correctly, just as long as it's connecton is of the IDE type.

In fact, I purchased a 160gig 2.5 IDE HD from a seller in China, via Ebay, and it works just perfect.

Here's a link to a variety of 2.5" IDE Hard Drives.

Try this, click the blue button on the QBox remote, and then select 'QBox Manager' now click on 'Use Internal HDD', you will then get the message 'Mounted', click 'OK' and then close the menu's down by clicking the 'Exit' button.

Now for a quick recording test, select a programme you wish to record, and click the 'Video' button on the remote, then to start the recording, click the 'Audio' button, the red recording spot above the Audio button is not easy to see, and with any luck, your recording should now start.

To end a recording, simply click on the 'TV' button, you will then be asked if you wish to play back the recording, select 'Yes' and the recording will then be played back.

If that fails, go into the Menu -> Setup -> System Settings -> Harddisc Setup, you will see displayed the make of your hard disk, simply click 'OK' and do another format, when that has completely finished, try to record a programme once again.
