Of all the HD channels currently available I like HD Suisse on Hotbird best, but unfortunately the picture is nearly always 'jerky' with dropped frames. Perfect otherwise, good sound and excellent quality video. Just the annoying dropped frames!
Anyone know if this is a source or a receiver/setup problem?
Thanks.
Barry.

Hi Barrykap,
Suggest using Tm6900 or 6800 as applicable v621P patched software, will cure problem.
Cheers

Thanks KenH
I'm new to this sort of thing and am worried about 'patches'. I have been just loading the latest firmware from Technomate then using Dragon cam with Pr*dator software for Cas channels.
What will be the effcet of loading this patch on this combination?
And if I did load a 'patch' would it be more sensible to install the very latest patch rather than Version 621P which seems to be a few versions out of date now.
Hope you can help and explain to a simple mutthead. :-)

Barrykap,
The later software versions are causing the Swiss problems, hopefully the software folk will cure, hence going back to the V621p. You could try the official V620.
I am using a Dragon 4.1 cam with the patched sware so I can use my S*y FTV card and EURO 1080 card.
Incedently I extended the Dragon "sim" slot to a full card holder for the euro 1080 card with the FTV card in the main slot. If you use the EURO 1080 card dont forget to ensure you have caid 0624 or 0604 in the cam software.

Hi Kenlhuk
I obtained permission from my supplier to install the earlier firmware patch (D*rkman 621P) you recommended and it solved the above problem with HD Suisse.
I've also informed my supplier who will highlight this to Technomate, hoping they will resolve it in newer firmware releases.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Barry,
I have a TM6900 and the picture on HD Suisse is fine using a Diablo or T Rex cam. I am having problems recording sound from it, however. The sound is ok when I am watching "live" but pulsates when played back from my HDD. It sounds as though someone is turning the volume up and down several times a second. The picture, on the other hand, is perfect. This only happens on HD Suisse, not on any of the other HD channels I watch. I wonder if this problem is related to yours? Have you tried recording from it?

Hi Radiobuff,
I had recorded some HD Suisse last week, when I had the video problem. I have just played these back and there is no problem with sound. I also did two new test recordings just now and they play back sound OK too.
Can't think what your problem could be really.
Cheers.
Barry.
