are u sure all cables are in the right holes?
then to give light to lnb need to be receirver on as well & move the motor from the stb
go in stb menu & turn motor from there
i not sure if black motor using usal or diesq but u need to add one of them options in the stb & save before the stb makes motor to turn
if u got satellite meter digital then u go to motor setting of your meter & turn from meter option
remember both of the options u need to move dish slighty up down as well by hand & then left right from the motor to tune a satellite

The motor is a diseqc 1.3 with gotox function.
I set it up on the 500s as a complex system (more than one sat with one LNB)
I have set the cables up as follows,
LNB to motor LNB in
Motor receiver out to ANT IN on 500s
the motor has buttons on it to turn it to east and west that you are supposed to be able to use to fine tune at the motor end.
When i set the box up as a complex system i input my long and my lat. then tried to do a scan but when the motor is supposed to turn it just said on the screen turning dish please wait, but the motor is doing naff all.

when you turn on the stb is any light on the motor?
if not then the connection is not good
try lnb (the cable coming from lnb) > to lnb in
then the reciever cable (the one going down to stb) > to motor
let me know

my friend this is the best think to do to call a profesionall but rigng few for prices as they all diferent & you got all the needing
if is not coming light to motor usally a green led is not going power to the motor
also even if you manage to give power to the motor then u need add long & lat to the motor as well & then tune it to the thor 1 west if you are using usals & then up down the dish & left right by the motor & so on till you get singal....
& even if you get when you will put back the srews you may loose the sat again
i dont mean to disapoint you is not bad once you do first time but is more complicate than a single fixed dish
i advise to call few of them & not just the first one, cos prices may vary
it dont need be profesional just make sure & tell him that if the wind move easy thr dish in short period of time, will not charge you again in that period
a small secret is........most of them here in london are so many going to do the job for cheap & they dont tide the bolds etc well & so later you got to call them again lol
but dont worry once he will set it up there after is easy
good luck

haha thats sneaky, but hey thats london for you!! i know of 2 in my area one is very pricey but a real pro the other is cheap but less experienced.
thanks fir the tips. I did hear a rumor that the motirs are 14v and the 500s is only 12 and doesnt have the power to move it. someone else told me this is crap so i dont know what to think!
